Glesni

My name is Glesni and I am the Manager of Adoption Finder Intermediary Service. I am a registered and qualified social worker.

After spending a decade of working with children, young people and families in statutory and voluntary settings as a social worker and senior social work practitioner, I made the decision that I wanted to make a difference by supporting adopted adults and birth relatives impacted by adoption. I therefore registered this agency as an adoption support agency with Care Inspectorate Wales. I have successfully completed a degree in Social Work and Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Skills.

My interest of adoption and intermediary work came after working as a social worker within a regional local authority adoption agency.

My name is Meinir. I have been interested in family history and genealogy for over 20 years. I have completed several genealogy courses. I joined Adoption Finder as a researcher in 2020. I don’t believe in leaving any stone unturned when it comes to tracing family members.

Ariel conducts searches in Britain and all over the world and has successfully traced missing family members for over 20 years. Ariel is the lead search and social work consultant for ITV’s Long Lost Family and Long Lost Family: Born Without Trace. She has undertaken the research to trace and make contact with missing family members for every series since 2011.

Norry

My name is Norry Hutchison and I am a qualified social worker, registered with Social Care Wales. I worked in Children Services for a Local Authority in Wales as both a front line social worker and then a Team Manager before moving onto manage a local authority adoption service manager for 13 years before retiring. It was when I was working in adoption that I met Glesni Evans, Director of Adoption Finder Intermediary Services. Having retired I was still keen to be able to support those who have been affected by adoption and when the opportunity arose to work with Glesni at Adoption Finder Intermediary Services it seemed an ideal time to resume working within adoption. I also enjoy boating and travelling in our motorhome, attempting to manage our garden and spending time with family.
